In a world that feels increasingly overwhelming, this 90-minute class offers space to slow down, reconnect, and discover the unchanging awareness within you.
We'll begin with a brief discussion and reflection, exploring the purpose behind yogic practices as we weave together modern nervous system science with ancient wisdom. This foundation helps us understand why these practices can transform our relationship with stress and uncertainty.
The practice draws from yoga's toolkit: gentle, trauma-informed movement, breathing techniques (pranayama), sound work (mantra), and meditation. You'll learn practical approaches for calming anxiety, supporting nervous system balance, and building resilience.
Every practice honors your choices while inviting you to recognize the steady peace that is always available, regardless of external circumstances. This unchanging awareness becomes your refuge, accessible in any moment, no matter what's happening around you.
Each session offers practical tools you can take off the mat and into your daily life as well.
What to Expect:
-
Gentle, breath-led movement to ground the body and calm the nervous system
-
Accessible breathwork (pranayama) for immediate and lasting anxiety relief
-
Meditation and guided rest to support regulation and self-awareness
-
A steady return to the present moment in a non-judgmental environment
What it includes:
✔️ A therapeutic, body-centered approach to reconnecting to inner peace
✔️ An invitation to explore connection, not performance
✔️ Rooted in trauma-informed yoga therapy principles
What it doesn’t include:
– Western psychotherapy (it isn’t a talking-based approach)
– A fitness-focused or fast-paced practice
– Concern about “doing it right” — there is no perfect pose here
Yoga therapy is not yoga as exercise — it is yoga as medicine. This integrative approach works across body, mind, and spirit to foster resilience, regulation, and reconnection with your innate wholeness.
Come as you are. Nothing is required but your presence.
