Embodied Self-Method

Trauma-sensitive, experiential yoga therapy for finding steadiness, clarity, and a deeper sense of connection within yourself.

When your mind won’t slow down, and your body holds the tension, it’s exhausting.

The Embodied Self-Method is a structured yoga therapy approach that works through the body, breath, and mind—so you can feel steady, clear, and more like yourself.

The Embodied Self-Method is:

  • Customized to you

  • A curated experience of asana, pranayama, and meditation

  • A respite from "one more thing to do" on your own

If overwhelm, trauma, or chronic stress have left you feeling disconnected from your body or from yourself, it’s understandable — your system has been trying to keep you safe.

But beneath these protective patterns is a deeper Self that remains whole, steady, and untouched.

This process gently guides you back to that steadiness, in a way your system can trust.

The Embodied Self-Method unfolds in three phases:

Stability – helping your body feel safe again
Clarity – changing your relationship to thoughts and patterns
Connection – reconnecting with a deeper sense of self

Unlike traditional approaches that focus on managing symptoms or assigning practices to do on your own, this method builds capacity in real-time, in session.

Living life to the fullest is hard when you are weighed down by the past and stuck in survival mode.

Many clients cite the following common refrains: 'I just can't handle stress like I used to.' 'I'm tired all of the time.' 'I cannot give myself grace.' 'I'm always on high alert.'

Ongoing stress and exhaustion can feel overwhelming.
You might find it hard to fully rest or relax, or notice a persistent sense of fear or hesitation that doesn’t easily go away.

These patterns aren’t a personal failing—they’re part of how the body and mind adapt to stress and past experiences.

In our sessions together, we’ll use the tools of yoga—movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditation—to gently peel back the layers of stress, overwhelm, or past experiences that may be clouding your sense of self.

This is a supportive and deeply personal process tailored to your unique needs, whether you’re navigating trauma, chronic pain, mental health challenges, or simply feeling stuck.

How to Begin

1. Start with a conversation

Schedule a free 30-minute call. This is a space to share what’s been going on, ask questions, and get a feel for the work. There’s no pressure to move forward—just a place to begin.

2. Choose your next step

If it feels like a good fit, you can move on to the Embodied Self Method (a 1-, 3-, or 6-session private experience), or we can talk through what would best support you. Sessions are offered in person or via Zoom.

3. Begin your first session

We start with ease. The first session is less about “doing” and more about getting oriented—moving at your pace, beginning to listen to your body, and establishing a sense of safety and trust in the process.
