Scope of Practice
As a certified yoga therapist, my role is to support clients in their healing and growth using the tools of yoga — movement, breath, meditation, and philosophy — in ways that are safe, trauma-informed, and accessible.
What I Do
-
I guide clients in reconnecting with their bodies, breath, and inner awareness.
-
I share perspectives from yogic philosophy, including nondual (Advaita Vedānta) teachings, as ways of reframing experience and cultivating deeper connection to Self.
-
I help clients explore practical tools for nervous system regulation, resilience, and self-compassion.
-
I offer a supportive space for clients to explore meaning, belonging, and spiritual connection in ways that feel authentic to them.
What I Don’t Do
-
I do not replace psychotherapy, psychiatry, or medical care (and I am not a licensed mental health professional).
-
I do not prescribe beliefs, claim authority over spiritual truth, or ask clients to adopt any particular religious framework.
-
I do not frame suffering as something to be bypassed or dismissed. Painful experiences are honored as real and valid, even as we explore deeper layers of wholeness.
In short: My work rests on the understanding that every person is already whole at their deepest level. Yoga therapy helps uncover that wholeness while also providing practical tools for living with greater ease, clarity, and connection.
